Root Resorption

Root resorption remains one of the most challenging conditions to manage in endodontics. This intensive hands-on workshop is designed to provide clinicians with a practical and evidence-based approach for the management of internal and external cervical resorption.

Through a series of clinical case-based discussions and immersive hands-on exercises, participants will gain a contemporary understanding of the biological mechanisms, classification, and treatment strategies for resorptive defects.

Participants will work on bespoke 3D-printed teeth based on real clinical cases. The workshop will focus on contemporary management protocols including conservative access design, debridement strategies, piezoelectric techniques, irrigation activation, and the use of hydraulic bioceramic materials to manage root resorption.

Modern endodontics is evolving toward a biologically driven, anatomy-centered philosophy that respects the natural complexity of the root canal system. This course is designed for clinicians who wish to elevate their endodontic outcomes by understanding, preserving, and utilizing the tooth’s internal anatomy rather than attempting to reshape it into artificial forms.

Through a combination of concise scientific lectures and extensive hands-on training, participants will learn to recognize, interpret, and manage the three-dimensional complexities of root canal systems using evidence-based treatment concepts. Particular emphasis will be placed on conservative instrumentation with the XP4D workflow, which adapts to anatomical irregularities and enhances canal debridement while preserving natural tooth structure.

The course will also explore contemporary obturation strategies, including the use of the new Ion+ sealer, and discuss how modern materials and technologies can contribute to improved canal sealing and more predictable long-term treatment outcomes.

Practical exercises on 3D plastic teeth will provide participants with the opportunity to apply anatomy-centered techniques in realistic clinical scenarios, strengthening their clinical decision-making skills and confidence in managing complex endodontic cases.
